§ 15.04.010. Compliance with title and adopted codes.
Except as otherwise provided in this title, the construction, alternation, addition, use and occupancy of all buildings and structures and their service equipment in the village shall be in conformity with the provisions of this title. Where no specific provisions or standards to the contrary are prescribed by this title,, conformity is required with the "International Building Code" 2006 Edition (sometimes hereinafter referred to in this article as the "Buildinq Code"), and the "International Residential Code" 2006 Edition (sometimes hereinafter referred to in this article as the "Residential Code"). The Residential Code shall be controlling in the construction of all one-family dwellings, two-family dwellings and multiple single-family dwellings (townhouses) not more than three stories in height with separate means of egress. The Building Code shall be controlling in the construction of all buildings and structures with the exception of one-family dwelling, two-family dwellings and multiple single-family dwellings (townhouses) not more than three stories in height with separate means of egress. In the event of a conflict between either the Building Code or the Residential Code and the remaining provisions of this title, the more restrictive provision shall apply.
