§ 15.40.308. Adequate ventilation.

Every habitable room shall have at least one window or skylight which can be easily opened, or such other device as will adequately ventilate the room. The total of openable window area in every habitable room shall be equal to at least forty-five percent of the minimum window area size or minimum skylight-type window size, except that an openable window shall not be required in bathrooms or water closet compartments equipped with an approved ventilation system.
