§ 15.40.472. Failure to comply with demolition order.

If the owner fails, neglects or refuses to comply with the order to demolish within fifteen days after service, the director of inspections or his agent, may proceed to demolish the structure pursuant to Title 24, Section 11-31-1 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, as amended. The cost of such demolition shall create a lien in favor of the village of Metamora against the real property and shall be recoverable in the manner described in Title 24, Section 11-31-1 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, as amended.
