§ 2.12.040. Moneys to be paid from specific accounts.

Latest version.
  • No money shall be paid by the village treasurer upon any warrant, bond or coupon, except from the moneys belonging to the particular fund or appropriation upon which such warrant shall have been drawn, nor shall money be transferred by the treasurer from one fund to another after it has been received by him; nor appropriated to any other purpose than that for which it has been collected or paid, without the vote of the majority of the board: provided, however, that the treasurer is hereby authorized from time to time to make temporary interfund loans from funds having a balance in excess of current needs to funds having a balance which is inadequate to meet current obligations payable from such funds. All such interfund loans shall be repaid by the receiving fund upon receipt by that fund of sufficient revenue to repay the interfund loan. All interfund loans shall be repaid in sufficient time to insure that the fund from which the loan was made will have a balance sufficient to meet current obligations of that fund.
