§ 2.84.010. Definitions.

In the interpretation and construction of this chapter 2.84 the following definitions shall be observed unless the context clearly indicates that another meaning is intended:

"Employee" means any full or part time employee of the Village other than officers.

"Entertainment" means but is not limited to shows, amusements, theatres, circuses, sporting events or any other place of public or private entertainment or amusement unless ancillary to the purpose of a program or event attended while engaging in public business.

"Officer" means any elected or appointed official of the Village.

"Public Business" means activities engaged in by an officer or employee for the purpose of carrying out the official responsibilities of such officer or employee for the benefit of the Village.

"Travel Expense" means any expenditure for transportation, meals and lodging necessarily incurred by officer or employee of the Village while engaged in the performance of public business.
