§ 10.44.011. Reduced width of useable roadway under certain circumstances.

Latest version.
  • A.

The village board may prohibit any vehicle to stand at any place where the standing of a vehicle will reduce the useable width of the roadway for moving traffic to less than fifteen feet rather than eighteen feet as otherwise required at Section 10.44.010(G) but only under circumstances where the board concludes that the street in question is not a through street, that the street in question primarily serves only the residents of the street and their guests, that the street in question is therefore very lightly traveled, that access by emergency vehicles would not be inhibited and that the residents of the street favor the reduction.

    B.

Except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a policeman or traffic control device, it is unlawful at any time to permit any vehicle to stand on any of the following streets where the standing of a vehicle will reduce the useable width of the roadway for moving traffic to less than fifteen feet:

The 300 and 400 blocks of North Lincoln.
