§ 15.40.276. Gas-fired appliances.
All gas-fired heating, cooking and other appliances and gas-fired water heaters shall conform to the requirements of this chapter concerning installation, vents and flues. Every gas burning water heater shall be vented to a chimney or other venting device leading to the outdoor space. No gas burning water heater shall be located in any bathroom, bedroom or other occupied room normally kept closed. There shall be installed on all water heaters an approved combination temperature and pressure relief valve. Portable cooking equipment employing flame and cooking equipment using gasoline or kerosene as fuel for cooking are prohibited.
