§ 6.24.090. Limitations on dogs in village square.

  • A.

    It is unlawful for any person to keep or permit the presence of a dog within the village square whether or not on a leash at the following times or under the following circumstances:

    1.

    During the annual Old Settlers' celebration traditionally conducted in the village during the month of June of each year; or

    2.

    At any time after a police officer employed by the village directs such person in the interest of public safety to remove the dog from the village square.

    B.

    For purposes of this section, the village square is that area in the village of Metamora bounded on the north by Partridge Street, on the east by Davenport Street, on the south by Mt. Vernon Street and on the west by Menard Street and includes any public right-of-way immediately adjacent thereto.
