§ 12.08.070. Use of skateboards, rollerskates and rollerblades prohibited in portions of the village.

  • A.

    It is unlawful for any person to ride, operate or use a skateboard, rollerskates or rollerblades at any of the following locations in the village of Metamora:

    1.

    Any public street or sidewalk located in a restricted area of the village; or

    2.

    Any property owned, operated or maintained by the village of Metamora located in a restricted area of the village; or

    3.

    Any public park located in a restricted area of the village.

    B.

    For purposes of this section, the following is established as a restricted area:

    1.

    That portion of the village of Metamora lying south of the northerly right-of-way line of Chatham Street; east of the westerly right-of-way line of Hanover Street; north of the southerly right-of-way line of Walnut Street; and west of the easterly right-of-way line of Wetmore Street.

    C.

    A violation of this section shall be punishable by a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than five hundred dollars. In addition, any skateboard used in violation of this section shall be retained for evidentiary purposes until such time as any proceeding charging a violation of this section has been concluded.
