§ 15.48.080. Application to fill pool.

The owner, tenant or other person in possession of property containing any swimming pool located within the village shall between May 1 and May 15 of each calendar year apply for a permit to fill the swimming pool with water. Owners of newly constructed swimming pools completed after May 15 shall apply for a permit to fill the pool within fifteen days after completion of the pool. An application to fill a swimming pool must be submitted as required by this section even if the swimming pool already contains water. A swimming pool permit shall be issued by the director of village inspections at no cost to the applicant. It is the intention of this section to assist in the enforcement of this chapter by allowing the director of village inspections to maintain a record of swimming pools located within the village so that inspections may be conducted any time at the discretion of the director.
