§ 2.72.070. Partial property acquisitions.

If the village wishes to acquire only a portion of the owner's property and by this action would decrease the value of the remaining property, the owner would be paid for the loss in value to the remaining property. Such damages or loss would be evaluated by the appraisers and then explained to the property owner. If the acquisition of any part of the owner's property would leave him with an uneconomic remnant, the village would offer to acquire the entire property.
