§ 6.08.010. Dogs running at large.

It is unlawful for any owner or possessor of any dog within the village to own or possess such a dog which is running at large. It shall not be a defense that the owner or possessor of the dog did not allow or permit the dog to run at large. Any dog running at large may be taken up and impounded by any village police officer, and may be redeemed pursuant to the provisions of Section 6.20.040.
